Rep. Carter Nordman, a common-sense conservative, is a 9th generation Iowan who is currently serving in the Iowa House of Representatives. Carter is running for re-election in 2026 to continue serving the people of Guthrie, Greene, and NW Dallas Counties.

While in the Iowa House, Carter has fought to lower Iowan's taxes, protected girl's sports, has been tough on illegal immigration, expanded rural healthcare, and has worked to defend landowner's property rights. ​

Carter is a graduate from the University of Northern Iowa where he obtained his bachelors in business management and is a licensed financial advisor. Carter chairs the House Ways & Means Committee and serves on the Commerce, Judiciary, and Environmental Protections committees. These committees are highly sought after positions and puts House District 47 residents at the table when it comes to big decisions. ​
